Terms of use

Last updated: 28 October 2026. These terms apply to Flekta as offered today at https://flekta.app — an invitation-only browser editor offered free of charge during its beta period with local project storage. By using the site or editor, you agree to these terms.

The service

Flekta is operated by Sebastian Grochocki. It lets you import SVG, author motion in the browser, and export outputs such as CSS, animated SVG, Lottie, GIF, or MP4 (as the product supports).

Projects are saved in your browser on your device. Clearing site data, switching browsers, or losing the device can mean losing local projects. Export or back up anything you care about.

Free beta access and future plans

Accounts admitted during the invitation-only beta are free beta accounts. Access is free of charge for the duration of the beta, not a lifetime grant of all current or future features. No fixed beta end date has been announced.

When the beta ends, existing beta accounts are intended to move to a free plan with limited features by default. The free plan’s features and limits have not yet been finalized. We will explain them, the transition date, and any action you need to take before the transition. You will not be automatically enrolled in a paid plan or charged: any paid upgrade will require a separate, explicit choice after its price and conditions are shown.

Beta features may change as we fix defects, address security or compatibility issues, and use testing feedback to prepare the released product. Beta access does not guarantee that every beta feature will remain available in the future free plan. We will give reasonable advance notice by email of the end of beta and any material reduction in access, including time to back up or export your local work before the change. Any mandatory notice, termination, and other consumer rights remain unaffected.

Eligibility

Beta access is by invitation. You must provide an email address you control, keep your password secure, and avoid sharing account access. Report suspected unauthorized use promptly. Public signup, billing, and a hosted project library are not part of this beta.

You can change your username, request a password reset, or request an email change in account settings. Email changes require your current password and confirmation at both addresses. If you lose inbox access, contact support. We may suspend access for abuse, security concerns, or breaches of these terms; mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Logging out retains local projects. Deleting an account is permanent and also removes that account's local projects and drafts in the current browser after online deletion succeeds. Export important work first. Local copies are not encrypted by account login, and copies on other devices or exported files cannot be erased remotely.

To protect the invitation-only beta, account endpoints apply per-IP rate limits and transactional email has daily sending limits. Excessive requests may be temporarily rejected.

You must be 16 or older to use Flekta. If you are under 16, do not use the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of SVG files, artwork, and projects you create or import. You represent that you own them or have the rights needed to upload, edit, animate, and export them.

You are responsible for third-party rights in anything you bring into Flekta (stock art, client files, fonts embedded in SVG, and similar). Flekta does not grant you a license to other people’s work.

Because projects stay on your device today, we do not need a cloud hosting license from you. If cloud storage is added later, updated terms will describe that license before it goes live.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Flekta to create, distribute, or host malware, illegal content, or content that infringes others’ rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, probe, or overload the site or editor beyond normal use;
  • scrape or automate access in a way that harms the service or other users;
  • misrepresent the source of exported work in a way that infringes trademarks or copyrights of others.

We may limit or block access if we reasonably believe these terms are broken.

Agent and scripts

Flekta includes an optional script console and an optional “Allow agent control” preference (including WebMCP where the browser supports it). These features are off by default for agent control, and they are provided at your own risk.

Scripts run in the page. Protections against host access are a speed bump, not a guarantee. A script or connected agent can change or damage your open project. One undo may reverse a single run; that is not a warranty of safety or recoverability.

Only run scripts you wrote or fully trust. You are responsible for agents and tools you connect to the editor.

Exports and third-party rights

Exports are generated from your project. You remain responsible for how you use exported files and for any rights needed in the underlying artwork. Third-party software notices for the app itself are listed at /licenses.txt.

No warranty

Flekta is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the editor will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exports will match preview in every environment.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sebastian Grochocki / Flekta is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of projects stored only in your browser, or changes made by scripts or agents you enable.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under German or mandatory EU consumer law (for example liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body, or health).

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. The “Last updated” date will change. If a revised version requires your renewed acceptance, we will show it and ask you to accept before you can continue to the editor. We record the version and time you accepted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EEA, you also keep the protection of mandatory rules of your country of residence.

Courts in Germany have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer venue rights you may have.
